Temporary School Closings - San Jose and Santa Cruz
A message from Claudio
We are living in unique times. The health and safety of our students, staff, instructors and our community have always been our highest priority. We continuously strive to keep our schools clean and disinfected and be rest assured the products we use kills Human Coronavirus. This week we ramped up our cleaning protocols even further as a response to concerns.
However, that does not address the call from our government for social distancing. A week ago I never imagined I would write this to our students but after much thought, we have come to the decision to temporarily shut down both the Santa Cruz and San Jose schools starting Saturday, March 14th to do our part in helping slow the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19. We will remain closed for at least one week and will re-assess the situation again next Friday.
We appreciate your support so much, especially in these trying times. We want you to know that we are committed to paying our staff and our instructors during this difficult time so as not to impact their families negatively. We ask that you do not cancel or freeze your account so that we may continue to pay our employees and cover our operating expenses. We hope this will be a temporary situation. In addition, our Watsonville school will remain open at this time for students who are not immunosuppressed, do not show signs of illness and have not been exposed to the virus.
Thank you again for your support! Stay well! May God be with us all!
Claudio Franca
