Mauricio is a certified USA Boxing coach since 2011. He has over 30 years’ experience in the sport of boxing. Mauricio began training boxing at the age of 7 and started competing when he was 10 years old. He participated in various amateur tournaments and exhibitions in Mexico, where he remained undefeated in 29 bouts. After receiving an invitation to join team Del La Hoya in 2001, Mauricio emigrated from Mexico City to Los Angeles, CA. During his boxing career, Mauricio has trained with a variety of notable boxing coaches such as, Lazaro & Mauro Ayala (MEX), Gregorio Vargas Sr (MEX), Rodolfo “Rudy” Perez (MEX), Noe Espinoza (US), Ben Lira (US), and EJ Llamido (US). Mauricio works with all levels of boxing, striking & MMA. He is a huge believer of the following quote “Honest hard work and dedication, will never betray you”.
